The Save A Museum catalog contains full color pictures artwork and biographical notes about Haitian artists donated by 78 artists and collectors to raise funds for the repair of the Musée d’Art Haïtien du Collège St Pierre in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, severely damaged by the January 12, 2010 earthquake. Also essays “After the Earthquake” by Haitian art historian Dr. Michel Philippe Lerebours and “Reminiscences” by Mary Voegeli de Pinho and Phyllis Voegeli, nieces of the museum’s founder Bishop Alfred Voegeli. This catalog was first published in September 2013 in conjunction with the Save A museum exhibit/sale held at the Wilmer Jennings Gallery at Kenkeleba in New York City.
The Passion & Perseverance in Haitian Art catalog of the exhibit held at the Wilmer Jennings Gallery at Kenkeleba (Manhattan NY) in the fall of 2019. It showcases the meaningful contribution of three Haitian immigrants on the American art scene: Emmanuel Merisier, Michèle Voltaire Marcelin and Jean Dominique Volcy. It includes essays by art historian Dr Michel Philippe Lerebours, artist and art critic André Juste and the Toussaint Louverture Cultural Foundation's president A. Paul Corbanese. The catalog also contains, for each artist, a personal statement, a biography, and a total of 55 photos of their artwork.
Dr. Michel Philippe Lerebours est écrivain, conservateur de musée, archéologue, chercheur, dramaturge et éducateur. Docteur en histoire de l’Art et Archéologie, diplômé de la Sorbonne à Paris, il a ete directeur du Musée d’Art Haïtien du Collège St. Pierre, son conservateur et directeur de l’Ecole Nationale des Arts (ENARTS). Textes & Témoignages contient des écrits du Dr Lerebours dont l’introduction à Haiti et ses peintres, un article sur Saint Soleil, un chapitre de l’Habitation Sucrière Domingoise, et quelques scènes de ses pièces de théâtre Les Circoncis de la Saint Jean et Le Roi. Il contient aussi les réflexions personnelles d'amis et de collègues dont Louis Dubois, Président du Conseil d’Administration du Musée et Michèle Pierre Louis, ancienne premier ministre.
